Se mencionan en el libro Tocando el vacío, un clásico del montañismo que transcurre precisamente en la cordillera de Huayhuash, donde hice esta foto.Mi paraíso montañoso favorito en el mundo.
Andean flutes are unique ice formations found in the Andes, with a very distinctive pattern and angle. They don’t appear the same way anywhere else. They are mentioned in the book Touching the Void, a mountaineering classic set precisely in the Huayhuash range, where I took this photo—my favorite mountain paradise in the world.
